If you started an online return but did not return or ship the item within 30 days, the return request automatically expires. Once expired, the return is closed and any associated return shipping label is no longer valid.
What happens when an online return expires?
When an online return expires:
- The return request is closed
- The original return shipping label can no longer be used
- The return cannot be restarted online
Can I still return my item?
Yes. Most items can still be returned for up to one year from the purchase date, even if the online return has expired.
If your online return expired, you can still complete your return by:
- Returning the item to a BJ’s club with your order information, or
- Contacting Member Care for assistance
At this time, expired online returns cannot be reinitiated through self service online.
What if I already shipped my item?
If you shipped your item before the return expired, please allow time for the return to be received and processed. Once received, it will be handled according to BJ’s return policy.
Why do online returns expire?
Online returns must be completed within 30 days to keep orders and refunds processing efficiently. If an item is not returned within that timeframe, the return request automatically closes.
This does not affect BJ’s overall return policy or your eligibility to return most items.
